Unlike the assembly line-like appearance of many of our competitor’s end product, our goal has always been to restore our customer’s film and tape media as best we can to their original state in order to produce quality visual presentations that are just as clear and crisp as they were when they were new. In addition, we also create audio transfers from LP’s, 33, 45, and 78 rpm records, audio cassettes, and Reel to Reel tape – all digitally mastered to CD, or stored as MP3 files on USB flash drives.

Have you ever wondered what was on those old home movie reels or video tapes tucked away in some dresser drawer or closet all these years, and considered doing something about it? Allow us to help you take the next step and resolve the mystery – by breathing new life into those old films and tapes, and in the process transporting you back to another time – where you can become reacquainted with then younger self, family members and friends – living and since departed. Now you can share and relive these pleasant memories with your loved ones, while at the same time helping to chronicle and preserve your family history for your own children and future generations.

Phases of Operation
As a standard procedure, we carefully inspect and preview all home movie film and video tapes in order to make any necessary repairs, (edit out bad scenes and/or replace defective splices with 8 or 16mm films), & clean and lubricate – before the actual digital transfer occurs. We then directly import the live action image to our studio’s 3-chip DV camera directly if tape, or via a high-res optic conversion system if film, resulting in visuals that are as clear and crisp as your original footage. We thoroughly clean all 35mm slides, film negatives, and photos before scanning at 4800×9600 dpi, from which they can be either edited for a slideshow presentation, or saved as separate digital files on disk or thumb drives.

Looked online for someone to convert, left a few messages, and Bob from Classic Conversions was the one to return my call in a prompt manner!  There was great communication, reasonable pricing, and within an hour, we dropped off the reels!  They were finished in the time frame promised and fun to watch! Bob is so nice and helpful, he did a wonderful job converting all my families home videos to DVD and flash drive. We had all of them on VHS, mini VHS, and mini dvds and were never able to easily watch them. I’m so excited to share them with my family. He needed to clean and re-splice the films that we had sent to him.  Additionally, he also transferred both our own wedding video and our parents' 50th wedding anniversary VHS tapes to DVD's and USB's. We actually used Bob approximately 17 years ago when we sent him home movies from my husband's family collection.  We were so pleased that he was still doing this work after contacting him about our new project. It was a pleasure working with Bob.  He took the time to confirm exactly how we wanted the project developed.  He had excellent suggestions and would always contact us during the process to keep us updated.  There were many reels/cannisters of films and he followed our sequence that we requested perfectly. One of the most impressive parts of the project was the addition of background music and some sound effects that were added to the "silent" films that we had.  It made a usual boring home movie come to life after many years !!  The music he chose was perfect for every scene and time period.  The DVD's were organized into "Chapters" and "Titles" that can be selected using the DVD remote control.  Very user friendly. We can highly recommend his workmanship.
